PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 2026-10-06. This is a plain-language summary, not a legal document reviewed by an attorney, if you have specific privacy concerns, email us.

What we collect

When you create an account: your username, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store or see your actual password). If you choose to add one, a profile picture. If you post an event: the event's title, description, date, location, and an optional photo. If you use the address autocomplete, the pinned coordinates. We also log IP addresses briefly for abuse prevention (login lockouts, rate limiting).

Third parties we use

We use SendGrid to deliver account emails (verification codes, password resets, event update notifications) and Google Maps/Places to power the map view and address autocomplete. Neither is used for advertising, and we don't sell or share your data with data brokers. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle data passed to them.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It's not used for tracking or advertising.

Your control over your data

You can edit or delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your posted events, your RSVPs, and any uploaded photos.
